- fj12ryderExplorer IIIYes it improves towing. I put it on my triple axle toyhauler and the improvement was worth every penny. It really smooths things out, especially when going over bridge approaches and sharp edged pavement.
Can't say what it would cost as I did it myself. It's not a horrible job, but knowledge of hand tools is necessary. Plus several jacks. - Jay_PatExplorerI had EZ flex and wet bushings installed this spring. I can't say that I have notice any change up in the pickup.
I had it installed by a mobile guy. Don't remember what I paid. Check book at home and I'm out on the road.
Pat - BarneySExplorer IIII installed it myself and found it to be a worthwhile project. Several of us on the forum have done the install and it is well within the ability of nearly everybody. You can read about and see detailed pictures of some of these installs here.
I think it makes the trailer tow without so much bouncing around and probably saves the contents inside from some damage. I am glad I took the time and effort to do it.
Barney - JBarcaNomad III did the upgrade and found it worth while.
By upgrading the rigid equalizer to the rubber equalizer it helps reduce the hard shock of going over a bump into running gear and camper. As to the feel in the truck, I could feel mine at first, but also keeping in mind what "normal use to be". After towing with the rubber equalizer a while it was quick to forget the old normal and the new normal seems like every day towing.
What I really found beneficial was adding good shock absorbers to the running gear. And this I can see and feel still to this day.
Shocks and the rubber equalizer do 2 different things.
A rubber equalizer goes after the hard impact shock of a bump into the running gear.
Shock absorbers go after the constant oscillations of the trailer frame whipping in the wind so to speak. On my long camper I use to get 6 oscillations up and down going over a bump. After shocks I now get 1 up and down and that is it.
If you plan on keeping your trailer a good long time reducing hard shock into the system and reducing frame and entire camper flexing oscillations is a good thing.
I myself will not own another camper without both upgrades. They "all" should come as std equip on day 1.
Good luck and hope this helps

PS, can't say on the price, did the work myself. - mileshuffExplorerWe have the Lippert Equa-Flex installed on ours. Huge difference. We have a rear kitchen which are known for things bouncing around in the cabinets. With the Equa-Flex installed things don't move at all.
Not familiar with the Dexter system. Is it similar? - coolbreeze01ExplorerLippert?

- DrbolaskyExplorerI had Dexter EZ Flex installed about 5 years ago (our dealer did it). I provided the kit and they installed it. Don't recall the price at the moment but right now shop time is about $110 an hour in our area.
Definitely worth it. Stuff in the kitchen doesn't bounce around as much; we don't feel control joints and road "irregularities" in the tow vehicle nearly as much as we did with the stock system. - JBarcaNomad II

Due to a numbers of events...mainly going to LT tires, I had the Dexter unit and now the Trail Aire Equa Flex.
EZ flex on 16" tires. This is the larger EZ Flex
EZ flex on 15" tires. This is the samller EZ flex
Trail air on 16" tires. This is the larger Trail air
Both work well. I myself cannot tell the difference between the 2 in performance. The Trailer air, mine was after Lippert bought them, has a plating on it that is not great. In less than 1 year, rust is coming through it. The Dexter is cast steel and has what looks like a yellow zinc plating. The Dexter has no rust issues.
They both have different mounting height setups.
MorRyde now makes them too. They didn't when I was looking.
Morryde equalizer
Hope this helps
John - Charlie_D_ExplorerThe one on the bottom of the first pictures have been known to rip out. There has been pictures on this and other forums about it.
