Remember to factor in the currency exchange rates.

No need - gas and diesel fuel prices here in Canada have been fluctuating around each other for some time now, and will every day, but aren't drastically different for a litre of either. That said, on average we pay ~ 30% more here in Canada for fuel than the US average.
