Dammage is quite common, even with a TPMS being used. The units will indicate low pressure in the tire or high temperature and that about it, giving the operator a warning there is an issue.
If a tire blows its more than likely the dammage is allready done, but at least the operator is notified and can take action.
In the case of tread seperation, there is no warning until the tire heats up or looses pressure.
