A trailer adds weight and the MH hitch needs to handle the weight.
Yes, that is what I wanted to convey. I see large pickups on trailers quite often. The hitch just needs to be handle the weight and the MH able to pull it.

If it were me I would get me a smaller high clearance trailer just for those off-road places that catches your interest and leave the big beast at home for the long haul trips.
There is a time and place for both styles of so called camping...
