Yep, thats the reason I think I should run a charging wire. I don't know if its enough to drain the battery, or if there is any other parasitic loss. I've read where some pull a fuse.
Brake lights are usually not enough. The fuse pull thing is mostly only for vehicles that have to have the key left in the accessory position to unlock the steering column to avoid killing the battery.
Does your Wrangler have the steering column unlocked when you take the key out?
