We sold it all and are hitting the road in June. I am the retired vet and thank God I still enjoy great health. However, My DW of 30 years is on opiates and has had problems getting meds at civilian docs and hospitals since my retirement in 2008. In deciding to go full time This was our number 1 concern. I know that the DEA has cracked down harder then ever before on prescription drug abuse and I understand why. I have seen with my own eyes addicted scum waiting outside pain management clinics soliciting patients for their medications. Many doctors have gotten out of the business of treating pain and those that stay operate in fear. My DW gets drug tested every month and can only get refills for 30 days to the day.
THE GREAT NEWS!!!
In anticipation of fulfilling our dream of full timing I called patient assistance offices at Fort Polk and Fort Sam Houston: I asked. "If we show up with medical records in hand will my wife, a dependent of a retiree be able to be seen in a timely manner and will she be treated" Both places said yes, they welcome retirees and the hospitals even have retired rv parking
