To answer you question, yes. A one time/way trip then connect it and reset your radio codes.
Pull the radio fuse might be a good idea, if you want to get on your back and find and manipulate the little fuse pullers, that will eliminate connecting the battery every morning or 8 hours of towing.
Putting in a charge line/switch etc for this one way trip seems like a waste to me.
Personally, I would pull the radio fuse if you are able to do so.
Under your hood there is a plastic electrical box that has fuses and a fuse puller if its the same as my 2013 model.
