When parked on dirt sometimes you can get dirt and mud "bounced" onto your TT by rain hitting the ground. Better to be parked on gravel if possible. Don't have to be fancy, just have a load of gravel ("stone" technically, I usually prefer 3/4 inch) dumped in the middle of the area and spread it using rakes.
