OP here... My original question was asked before I did any thinking and research. I obviously need to purchase a new shank. My current shank measures 9" drop. It still has about 2 1/2" of drop left. If I buy a 12" drop shank, that should get the trailer to about 2" above where I was with the old truck. I'm talking with e-trailer as I type this.
