Do those driving glasses really turn "night into day"

I have nearly quit driving at night because it's difficult for me to see. I keep reading about these driving glasses that they say they help. Have you had any experience with them and are they worth...

I purchased some night driving glasses I saw on a TV ad. Normally, I don't purchase products hawked on TV, but I did this time. The lenses are yellow and it does cut down on glare significantly. I won't drive at night without them. They were very inexpensive. I got two pairs for $19.95 (for both, special price). I gave one pair to my sister.
