Do you cross your safety cables?
I know for towing a trailer it is recommended to cross your safety cables under the tongue, but do you cross them when hooking up your toad? I don't really see the need, but what do most of you do? ...

I can't see any good reason NOT to cross them. There is no downside to doing it, and it could keep the broken parts off the ground in the event of an equipment failure or breakage.
