Do you think I should spend $2600 and add exhaust brake?

I agree and live and travel in the Rocky Mtns. My truck is 9 years old and still has the original brakes. I also tow double at times. Follow the above advice and you will be fine. But, if you have doubts then spend that money for piece of mind.
