I've loaded out many flatdeck and stock trailers. Adding weight on the end of the trailer ads weight to all the axles not just the end axle.
Yeah I know some folks like to make the point that a multi axle trailer are like a teeter totter. Its not. A tandem axle trailer has no single point of balance but has a spread of 8'-9' depending on spring length and length of the equalizer bar.
Higher rated axles and wheels and especially the LT tire will make a excellent upgrade.
