does workamping pay?

We have a goal for early semi-retirement March or April of 1915. We will have to work. Is anyone out there making a living working on the road? I see mainly posts from retired people, or folks who already have some sort of internet business.
We were thinking, workamping for sites and going to other businesses for part time work. Appreciate any info from anyone making it out on the road. We really want to move on from here!

Most we see are the volunteer campground host which does not pay but gives you free room and board (Using your RV trailer), some with free hookups, and some bennies.. I don't know if WORKAMPING is the same as Volunteer Campground HOST or not... Might be too different things...

There is also alot of work involved here - not a free lunch by any means...

    These are not for everyone...
