A very common complaint: There is no way the vast amount of air ( yes anywere up to 1000 cfm) can move with only 5to7 inches of space between the blades and the ceiling. Maybe even less. Either drop the fan (kinda hard with a STUPID ceiling hugger )or replace it with one that has a downrod. Around 11 inches from blade to ceiling would be the minumum for good performance. i know. I've installed thousands of fans and never liked the ceiling huggers. and in most cases there was no need for them. a precieved notion that they MIGHT hit their heads on the blades.
