That's because when the symptoms of a neurological and/or breathing disorder present doctors don't ask if you have been using deet. It's not on their list of questions to ask regarding neurological problems.
They just throw drugs at the patient to mask the symptoms and it is never documented that it could have been attributed to deet. When was the last time you went to your doctor that he asked if you use deet?
When I read warnings from the U.S. National Library of Medicine
From the National Institutes of Health National Institutes of Health and other medical findings that show a product IS classified as a poisonous substance and can be harmful, I would think the average educated person would take heed.
But apparently many do not.
