..If this is truly required, I'd bet that 99.9% of all toad setups are illegal, then.
In all the wiring kits I've seen, and RV technicians I've talked to over the years that set up toad wiring...Not ONCE have I ever heard mention of ANY wiring done to make the toad's license plate lights work.
Toad setups are almost always done in one of 3 ways (and none of these 3 involve wiring in license plate lights):
1. Magnetic lights
2. Separate bulbs installed and wired into tail lights
3. Existing tail lights wired up to work from MH, using diodes
Suffice it to say, if this (not having working license plate lights on a toad) is illegal, then almost ALL of us are illegal and have been for a very long time. I find that a bit hard to believe. :)
Personally, I have much more important things to worry about..
