I don't know if it will meet the definition of animal cruelty or not but it is definitely poor judgment. It is different than riding in the back of a truck for sure. Not only the animal cannot be seen by the driver I am not sure he could keep water in his bowl even with the spill proof bowls. The driver would be smart to take something non living out of the back of his truck and switch it with the living. This thread will be interesting with us dog lovers vs the folks on the fence with dogs.
