Dogs bark. It is the incessant, non stop barking that most object to. We tried everything with our dog to keep her calm while we were away. Sedatives , treats, soothing music but nothing worked. She was just an unhappy dog being left by herself. Hence we found a home for her where she is happy. Very sad for us but necessary.
