I'm basicially on my own here so I now accept that i'm going to need to learn to be my own RV repair guy!I did all the diagnostics that have been mentioned and it looked like the motor had crapped out so now comes the part of the show where the RV'er gets it in the end,,,LITERALLY!!! I called dometic who has no tech service and was told to go to the dealer but a new motor would be $290 USD+shipping, add our Canadian border/goverment and it's desperate need to tax the snot outta' anything it see's the price goes up substantially. I called Atlas in London Ontario who refeered me to a local dealer who marked that motor up some $200 CAN so i'm lookin' at nearly $600 rupees with the taxes lucilly however my buddy reminded me of a salvage outfit here called Tisdelle RV Salvage who was extremely helpful and had a new motor for $100 and would school me on how to install it properly,,now wer'e cooking! So I gather up Frau Blücher and the grandgirls and prepare to hit the road,on the way out I decide to try the awning,,,the stupid thing rolls up and down like new,i cycle that awning twenty-odd times with no problems! I call Larry at Tisdelle and tell him what happened,he laughs and says to remember where he's at and wishes me a good afternoon.
So I think i'm going to buy a new motor before I head south just in case!!
