Dometic awning damage

Help new travel trailer owner and hubby forgot rule #1. ALWAYS close the awning when leaving. Well we are in the south where pop up storms are so common in the summer. Yes we now have two main arms bent. We have been trying to find someone that will sale just the arms and all RV parts suppliers want to sale us the entire set (600.00+). We have repaired for a temporary but need your help in finding just the part we need.

  • Did you call the dometic customer service number, or is from an online search ? I spoke to helpful humans. When a part came in wrong, they told me to keep it and immediately sent the right part.
  • Thanks for every ones help. We are still looking as it seems Dometic only sells the entire set up not parts. We only need the front channel everything else works.
  • 90% of the time it's just the inner leg that's bent. They should be under $50 each, last I sold were like $37.
  • I had no trouble buying one at a time direct from dometic. I bought the lower part of the leg and it was well under $100.
  • I would check with the awning manufacturer to purchase the parts you need.

Also PPL Motorhomes parts department is very good at getting what is needed.
