Dometic refrigerator temp regulation

There's a sliding element on the right-most fin of the cooling apparatus in the lower compartment. I've seen this referred to as a thermocouple, and it regulates temperature somehow.

Does sliding it up make the box cooler, or warmer? I know I've seen this information, but couldn't find it.

  • Moving that thermistor will only affect fridge overall temps IF your fridge does NOT have an adjustable temp set control on upper panel

Tip of thermistor should just protrude from clip
Clip should be on far right fin
    Moving it UP.......COOLER
    Moving it DOWN....LESS COOLER
    Roughly a 4*-6*F overall affect
