Somehow, I think that there is more to this story. But then, it would not be a good story.
I watched the interview with the driver.
She WAS stopped for the coffee and was given a warning ticket when the cop noticed she didn't have her seat belt on so gave her a ticket for that.
Driver claimed she took it off when she was pulled over.
IMHO she should get out of that ticket since the cop didn't see her "driving" without the belt on and did not pull her over for that infraction. Only observing it after the fact while the car was parked.
That said.
Remember when cell phones first came out just about every state passed a law about using them while driving? Prompting everyone to go out and buy a hands free accessory? AND cops where ticketing left and right for not using a hands free?
What happened to all that?????
Now "everyone" I see on the road has a smart phone slapped to their side of their head while driving or held in front of their face over the wheel yakking away.
And I don't see them getting pulled over. And those phones COME WITH a hands free speaker in all of them.
I can talk on my phone with it sitting on the counsel so why do we see so many driving with them holding it up to their head. :S
