Hm...yes, MN is following California in terms of enforcement of distracted driving.
Folks, what we have here is...stupidity at its finest.
The problem really is those few folks who do things like:
-apply makeup at 60 mph
-have a phone in one hand and cigarette in the other
-steer with their feet
-even when they don't have anything in their hands, swerve all over the place
-fiddle with the radio (I've done this once or twice too!)
In any case, those few folks are now making the rest of you folks who pay attention to the road suffer because the legislature made a law to address it.
Back in April they started. Eating ice cream got one lady stopped.
No ice cream while driving!In any case, it's true that RIGHT NOW they are focusing on the distracted driving.
more so than the speeders... more so than seat belts (imho).
edit: my commute now consists of both hands on the wheel, keeping an eye out for the swervers or the smokers or the cell-phone-stuck-to-their-ear folks.
