There has been a great deal of time and energy devoted to study, prevention, control or eradicate of the pest already here and keep new ones from getting in… most states like Michigan and federal rules mirror each other…
The cost of doing nothing isn’t acceptable and eradication attempts have been prohibitively costly and largely unsuccessful… the only real options are control and prevention until other methods of eradication are proven not only to work, but not end up being worse than the cure…
Unfortunately there will always be some willing to ignore or worse yet defy these efforts for self-gratification… sadly campers, a group associated with being close to nature, has more than it’s share of them, with many excuses and ways to justify their selfish ways…
