Interesting topic.
I was in a state park in GA, and purchased 2 bundles of wood...like $10 or so. Then it rained for the rest of our stay. I put the wood in a bag and stored. Off we went. Then we went through SC, NC, VA, WVA MD, PA, NJ, DE, then reversed....FORGOT the wood was there..it was pushed in by other activity in the bays.
We were in another CG in GA, and the weather was right, so we decided to have a fire and remembered the wood!
The bags were tied, and I do not remember seeing any insects, but to be frank, I didn't look. We were only about 8o miles from where we purchased the wood! What we didn't use, we just gave to the guy next to us.
I put the wood in the bag because it was damp and didn't want the dirt in the bays.
I guess my point is that some people simply forget they have the wood.
