I can close the door by applying hard pressure near the handle. My 9 year old kid can only barely do it and my 7 years old just can't. He has to slam the door to get it to close.
Any way to make this easier?
If it is like mine, door latches onto to what is called a "shoulder bolt" or "striker bolt". I was able to loosen and play with mine to get good fit. I pulled it out just a little, maybe 3 mil's and made a world of difference closing the door.
But # 1 rule is don't slam the door (entrance or frig/freezer)
google up "shoulder bolt" this is one example http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31r5SljOGiL._SX300_.jpg But there are many types. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41LEBKTnODL._SX300_.jpg
Before you do that double check don't have something holding up the door from closing right, Loose screw, chip of wood etc. - MitchF150Explorer IIISpray the heck out of the door latch mech with WD-40 and then lube it with something like 3-in-one oil..
It'll then close like "butter"... ;)
And if it doesn't.... It might need some adjustment...
When my trailer was brand new, the door would not close without pulling the handle when you closed it... Lived with that for about 3 years before I did the oil thing and it's been closing normally ever since! That was about 9 years ago too.. :)
Good luck!
