In my research about double towing (truck+ 5er+ ball trailer) do your research! Do not accept the 'guides ' as accurate.

I would go one step farther. I've found its best to ask those trained officers in that state how they enforce their combination regs for that particular sized or class vehicle.

I've pulled non rv trailers for a living mostly in a eight state area around my home state. I never depended on my own interpretation how a combination or size or weight code is interpreted and enforced by any state.
