The drain hose is always connected to the RV waste (tanks) system, you don't 'connect' the hose to the RV. In an aftermarket installation you may opt to keep your waste hose 'un-connected' so too speak but a proper installation of the system the drain hose always stays connected and stored to the RV at the same time.

When you're ready you just pull the hose out, put the head unit into the drain inlet, open the main valve, then open the valve in the head unit. When finished dumping close the main valve then close the head unit valve, store the hose and you're done.

It's a really good system and very well made. That was what I was looking for and found at Drain Master.

If am a fool then I'm a happy fool.
I have a Drain Master hose and I can tell you it was not easy to get that money from me.
On our motor home I could not get a leak free connection with several brands of hose including Rhino. The Drain Master does not leak even a drop. It is a lot of money but I no longer feel bad about the puddle under my stinky slinky. It must be the way our coach is plumbed as I never had this problem with our other RVs. I don't think I will ever have to buy an other hose.

Our new Vengeance came with it. I like it so far. Easy to hook up the hose, the entire hose assembly fits in a box mounted right beside the drain underneath the camper, and its easy to drain the tanks with far less risk of making a stinky mess.

Nothing like watching the brown water go through the little window. :E

Like fj12 said, I can buy a lot of rhino hose replacements for the cost of a drain master. I don't full time though, so I get it that everyone's needs are different.

My rhino has never been "hooked up" the three years I've owned it. I take it out when it's time to dump, rinse it, put it away. The type of campground I prefer usually has no hook ups, or just electric.

They've been bought out and their after-the-sale service has changed!

Don't forget about getting the $200.00 clear elbow too.

Geeze, I can buy quite a few sewer hoses for $130, so I don't know how great that warranty would be. And don't forget, the company has to still be around come time to cash in on that warranty.
