I don't worry too much about camp water.. I just take my own as I don't care what it weighs and all that other stuff... I like my home water, so that's what I use..
When I camp, I don't use water like I do at home... Why? Because I'm not at home! I like trying to conserve every bit of that 30 gallon tank on a 4 day weekend.. Always come home with water in the tank..
Anyway, to each their own. I will always have my own water supply no matter where I'm going. Just what works for me. Yes, I carry bottled water too, but that's mostly for the excursions for the day and just like having ice cold water to drink.. I do recycle the plastic, as well as the beer containers that gets consumed along the way too by bringing it all HOME and recycling in my home service.. :)
