We bring a few gallons of bottled water, mostly for coffee or general drinking.most places we haven't noticed any problems, just don't want the risk.
There is a few places where I would especially not want to drink the water, OBX for one, another I'm aware of is a campground in PA that we go often. One COE we went to flat out said don't drink the water till the testing comes back.
