Drones illegal
They just banned the use of any drone in the East Bay Regional Parks here in northern CA. I won't be surprised if the State follows this law by making it illegal in all the State Parks real soon. Next...

While I think drones are neat, I also agree with those who think they should be banned. FAA (belatedly)is moving to register them as aircraft, which I agree with. It also seems people are misusing the instructions that come with them by flying above 400 ft.
A couple of weeks ago, I discovered that my neighbor, who lives behind and slightly lower than me, had a drone. How? I heard it whir and looked up to see it 20' above me and slightly above roof level at the side of my house. Now, this neighbor previously had fired a pellet gun into trees between our houses one day WHILE I HAPPENED TO BE IN MY BACKYARD, PARTIALLY SHIELDED BY A FENCE. I could hear the pellets hitting the foliage a short distance from me. Had to have a serious talk with him about that.
If you think people don't misuse those miniature aircraft, I have a bridge I will sell you. Should I see that device at my windows again, I will shoot it down.
What a mistake to allow the devices to be sold before regulations were in place to regulate them.
