They just banned the use of any drone in the East Bay Regional Parks here in northern CA. I won't be surprised if the State follows this law by making it illegal in all the State Parks real soon. Next will be in the National Parks. They claim it disturbs wild life and is dangerous to the safe operation of law enforcement that uses aircraft and helicopters.I think these drones are amazing toys, I wish they had these when I was younger but there are just too many morons out there that don't have common sense. Too many near-miss stories.Have any other states ban them from use in their parks?

I expect the restrictions on use to increase quite a bit as complaints mount. And that will be mostly because of the minority who use no common sense when flying them.

Personally, I think they should be banned everywhere. The last thing you want to do with is spend the money to buy a second one if you fly the first one over my property and family areas.

I wasn't aware of the National Park restriction but I'm in favor of the ban.
Drones are very cool and some of the videos I've seen are amazing, but it's only a matter of time before some idiot takes down a plane or helicopter and kills someone.
