The worst thing in this is your great truck, it becomes like a 'kid' or a 'pet' to you and you don't simply want to replace it - even with a new one.
I know - bought my '03 GMC new and it's just now pushing 200k and ten years, and still runs and looks great. And I looked at new trucks a couple times in the past couple years, then looked at mine again each time, gave it a nice pat on the hood and put the keys back in my pocket.
