Very similar style accident to my wife. She was driving a 2012 Jeep Liberty,5 months old. The car she hit had the same damage as the one you hit in the same spot. The frame on ours was not bent (uni-body). It did rip the front tire off, and pulled the front wheel drive axle from the transfer case on the right side as well. New quarter panel,Hood,Bumper, bumper mount,Grill, motor mount, some air condition lines, door alignment, lights, trim, wheel, tire.
Damage came to over $16,000 dollars. The car was valued at $21,000.I begged AAA to total it. They didn't. I did have OEM replacement coverage on all parts. The repair came out well, the body shop did a good job.
The claim rep that first looked at the car in the tow yard said it looked about $6000 in damage. I chuckled and asked him if he really looked at it. I guess he was new.
