Update:
I visited the bodyshop today to see how the truck was looking.
They have it stripped down and found more hidden damage.
The rad support is bent and cracked in a couple places. It is made of aluminum - I did not know that. It has to be replaced
Frame damage isn't too bad. The right front wheel is shoved back a bit.
The box is toast. My rack shoved forward and did major damage to the box. My rack has gone diagonal and the box framework matches that. The body lines do not match now due to the top front being shoved down from the weight. You can see it in the pics here. Box is closer to the cab on top than on the bottom.
Also, I was informed that the rack came forward and hit the top of the cab. They showed me the dents on both sides.
This isn't looking too good for me.
They are trying to source a used box somewhere in good condition. Don't need the dually fenders, but do need the rest of the box framework. It is a very difficult to find a used one in good condition. Not sure what is going to happen here....
They are trying to find used parts for the rest of it to attempt to keep the cost down. As it stands, the repair cost is over $18,000. and could go as high as $22K depending on used parts availability.
I'm not a happy camper right now. In fact, I am downright deflated about this whole thing.....
Gotta feeling I'm going to get a phone call informing me it is totaled.
Insert expletive deletive of choice here....
Here's a few pics of her. Doesn't look that bad to me. Not sure where the 18 grand is. For some reason I forgot to take pics of the box damage. When they said 18G so far I just kinda hung me head and walked away.
