We're on 81 northbound in West Virginia in the wife's car doing 80. Guy towing a travel trailer flew past us like we were standing still! Hate to be him when those tires blow!
I've blown three tires while towing recently (driving 60 mph) I never tow faster... I knew immediately when each tire blew (TPMS alerted me) and I felt the drag and slight vibration. The cruise control jumped in shifted down and accelerated trying to keep the speed constant.
I got no advance warning of overtemp or low pressure.
I am now asking the tire manufacturer to inspect the tires to determine the reason for the blowouts... wish me luck!
