Dump stations in Calgary - any open?

This is directed at the local Calgary folks:

Anyone know if there are any dump stations open in the Calgary area?

I am finishing up a project in Airdrie where I have been set up in the customers driveway for over 2 weeks. I will finish tomorrow and pull out for my next project in the southwest part of Calgary. I need to dump on the way.

Yeah I know I could start making phone calls and checking around, but I thought maybe asking the locals here might be an idea.

I'll be coming in on #2. Deerfoot shouldn't be too bad on a Saturday afternoon. Could bypass on Stoney.

I know there is a Husky truck stop at Barlow and 32nd - I think they have a dump station, not sure. But I don't know if various places close the dump sites during freezing weather.

Can't believe I have gone 2 1/2 weeks without dumping my grey. But I have been VERY diligent about my water use. 1 1/2 tanks of fresh water gone but the grey is still not coming up the shower drain! It's gotta be close!
Nothing like washing dishes with a cup of water!

Any thoughts?

    Hi,

Husky closes their dump sites for the winter now :(

Oh bummer. How did you find that out?
  • Hi Bob,

The campground I mentioned is BADLY run. Call them. Many times.
  • Check the Flying J on Barlow at Deerfoot across Barlow from the casino. Easy in and out
  • Thanks Don, I'll call them.

I tried the Whispering Spruce when I first came here. Actually my customer called them for me and left his local number for them to call back. He told them I was looking for a winter site. They never did return his call.
  • Hi Bob,

I think I mentioned the Shell Station on 16th Ave just east of Deerfoot (if memory serves) on the north side. Shell Canada 2020 16 Ave NE Calgary, AB T2E 1L3
    (403) 250-9507

    Give them a call.

There is a campground near Balzac 51.2230328677439, -114.003442525864. It is a dump--but they may have a dump site. Whispering Spruce Campground 403-226-0097

Get to a dump quick Bob.. Calgary is headed to -20C next week!

Yuppers!! I have been watching the forecast. Plus 5C tomorrow and then drop like a rock to minus 30 for a low on Thursday.

Tomorrow is the day or I will have a couple large blocks of ice. I have a heat tape on my dump pipes.
