True to some but not all. My tank is a very long, wide and shallow tank. It will absolutely not dump the solids without the flush even if I fill the tank to the top with water. I am fortunate enough to have a dump at home for those times I cannot rinse at the dump station.
I second that. I like the black tank sensors to work, which requires flushing, so the next time I take it out I can tell the difference between 1/3 and 2/3 full. I'd rather do that than spend much time watching the level by looking in the tank with a flashlight.
