I am reading a lot of these posts where folks think it will happen at a campground, and the DW won't have to do much. What if something happens enroute? The DW did not want to learn to drive the rig, but has driven a few miles. No backing yet, and no take down from camp. You have to think anything can happen anywhere. What if you need to be taken to medical care, or a place where medical care can be summoned? No one wants or wishes bad things on anyone, but a friend was on his way, had a heart attack, and the DW had no idea how to drive a big rig. She had to learn on the fly. There was no cell coverage and they decided to take the scenic route. The good was he knew something was wrong and pulled over before he lost his wits. He made it, but I would not want to learn under pressure like that.
