I just got myself an 2008 Tundra 5.7L with towing package. I believe tow max to 10,100 lb. The tires on them are showing their ages. Looking for replacement. I am also looking for TT around 5000 lb...

Some "half ton's" are fake half tons, as they have a +8K GVWR, where as the 'regular'
half tons are in the +7K GVWR range. Ranges down to +6K GVWR
Those 'fake' half tons do come with 'LT' class tires.
Fake because so many will NOT buy anything bigger than a 'half ton'...even though
they are about the same size...foot print on pavement
Some half tons with the 'off road' option package does come with 'LT' class tires
because 'P' class will get shredded out there seriously off roading...yes the
OEMs size things for what they consider the worse case out there for whichever
application they are selling into
Folks continually fall into 'absolutism' where one size fits all...like socks,
which does NOT fit all...
Absolutism, meaning that if one 'can' do it, they all can...conversely if one
can't do it, none of them can...
