About every two or 3 years, I pull the hubs and inspect and hand pack the bearings. I prefer the NevR Lube hubs over anything else.

I agree.
Most of your new cars have the sealed bearings that are never lubed. You just change out the bearing assembly.
As far as the Easy Lube system goes, I agree with you, I pack them by hand every three years or so and use the Easy Lube feature once a year in between. An earlier post gave an example of putting in dry bearings. I would never put a set of dry bearings in and depend on the Easy Lube system to get them lubed. Since they are apart, why would anybody put dry bearings in? I hand pack them and then use the Easy Lube system for peace of mind without taking the hubs off to check bearings.
Before cars had sealed bearings, how often did folks have their bearings repacked? Every year? Yea, right. LOL
