Last year New York State parks strictly enforced 3pm check in. Arrived 20 minutes early, so sat and talked to the ranger for 20 minutes. They would not let us in until the strike of 3. They stated thats the rule, we follow the rules. I'm sure they enjoyed my 20 minutes of mindless banter. BTW they have relented on the strict enforcement this year.
