Pismo Coast Village RV park, private park, will let you occupy your site as soon as its empty, regardless of what time you arrive. Within 30 minutes of a space being vacated an employee arrives, rakes the site and empties the fire pit, and it is ready for next camper.
This park is extremely well run. The general manager knows how to run the park and keeps guests and his staff happy! They value their guests and treat them with respect. They DO NOT charge for early admittance, and they will work with you on a late departure, if needed. No charge!
Now contrast that attitude with the California State Park next door, Pismo North Beach campground. Their stated occupy time is 2:00 PM. If you arrive earlier, they will check you in and take payment, BUT will not give you the auto sticker or let you occupy the site until 2:00 PM. Regardless if the site is empty or occupied. The management is extremely self centered and seem to not care about their guests. Often times there are several RV's of various types congregated in a public parking lot about a half mile away all just waiting for the admitting time! They make you wait just because they can!
Both parks are right on the ocean and of course very busy all summer long. It is truly refreshing to see a quality RV park like Pismo Coast Village operate as they do, with integrity and treat their guest with respect.
