We have done this for the past three years and are signed up for a fourth. Our reasons: As opposed to "regular" workcamping, this offers an opportunity to work when the tourist places are mostly closed. We found that working in a campground left us working and tied down during the best times to visit many places. Amazon offers guaranteed hours. They will offer you voluntary time off if the work slows, but if you so choose, they will find work for you to fill out your 40 hours. Too many times at campgrounds we found ourselves getting fewer hours than advertised, especially at the beginning and the end of the seasons. For those interested in maximizing paychecks, Amazon routinely offers and in some cases even requires overtime. We found that working 3 months at Amazon netted more than working 6 months in a campground. Work 3 months, rest up for a week then you have over 8 months to travel and see the country and the money to do it!
