Keep the A/F out of the FW tank, and the Water Heater. Take the shower hose of the shower and screw it on to the inlet side of the water pump. Pour three gallons of A/F into a bucket. Insert the other end of the shower hose into that bucket. Bypass the water heater. Turn on the pump. Let the system fill til the pump stops. Then go around and open each hot and cold faucet til pink flows. Do the shower, Toilet, outside shower, etc. Empty the low point drains til pink flows. If clothes washer or ice maker do what is needed.
Pour any left over from the bucket into all drain traps in sinks, showers, and in the toilet.
Done...15 minutes...over.
After you put the pink through the system and void all water from the lines you can immediately drain the pink, there is absolutely no need to leave it in the lines over the winter.
