It would greatly help if all stations would enforce a one way driveway Your gas tank refill tube dictates what side of pump you must drive to. Is this too hard to enforce? Not at the stations I see this action completed. All vehicles conform to one way in and out service. No entrapment. Getting attendants to follow this action is confusing to them. It's easier to allow both sides of driveway to get clogged, tempers flare, fights breakout. Good experience in getting fueled.
