I know what a laptop computer is, I know what a cell phone is, and I know what a Garmin navigator is. I suspect that, collectively, these three in combination can go way beyond what a "smart" phone can do.

Neither the wife or I have a smartphone.
We have notebooks and tablets and other gadgets.
The smartphone data costs are a too high for what we think would be a prudent expense.
Prepaid talk and text works very well for us old-timers...
