Electric power awning

You need to read the manual to be sure. Both my Carefree Eclipse I previously had and the LPI one I have now are retractable in the tilt mode.

If it is a Dometic....you can get an adjustable arm for it for free. It allows you to tilt one side for the water to run-off. Mine has the auto dump feature but installed the arm anyways.

We keep our power awning with a 3 hole difference as allowed by the manual. It rolls in and out no problem.

My Carefree has 6 positions for tilt. Manual says to not retract with more than 3 positions different.
I don't want another useless power awning, it's just a fair weather shade.

Ours is a lippert solera power awning. I can lower either side for drainage. My manual clearly states do not push up on the arms as they can bend. The awning will level inself out when retracting. Now that being said, theres no way the awning will retrect with one side tipped. The motor is not strong enough. I wish I had a manual awning.

When retracting, our awning does not like to be out of level. There are six positions that each side can be on and if they aren't positioned at the same spot the awning will bind and not retract. The first time I adjusted it, I thought both sides were in the same spot, however one side did not click into place. When I tried retracting it, it was very slow to retract until it stopped halfway through. After inspecting it I realized the one side wasn't completely locked in.

On our Greyhawk, I pitched the awning as much as possible and water just runs off it. Before pitching it, when it rained, one side would dip on its own and drop off the pooled water. That can get messy though if you aren't on a concrete pad.

I have a Jayco 322FKS 2012, this trailer has the feature that allows one side to be lowered and then at any time you can just roll it up electrically.

We also do the supreme "no no" as we slip a wind breaker in the slide on the drum of the awning. When a storm comes up I just unclip it from my tie down stakes and roll it up. You can't leave it rolled up and hit the road but for temporary it works. When we are done with our camp we slide out the wind breaker and roll the awning to the closed position. They tell you not to do this but seen several others do it and it works fine.

Actually, you can on some. Ours has a knob on each side allowing you to dip the awning on one side. You need to loosen the knobs to level it out before retracting.
