ELECTRICITY

I'm having a brain fart,
Have a converted van. Going to use 15 amp on an extension cord. Have a 30 to 15 reducer.
Looking at Oregon SP sites that say--"electricity hookup 50 and full hookup 50" or just "electricity hookup 50".
What's the difference?
Do I need another reducer?
I will not be putting in a 30 or 50 amp system. Please don't suggest that.

  • Full hookup has water and sewer. If it isn't full hookup, one or both are missing. Not unusual for campsites in the frozen north not to have water.
  • The box will have a 50, a 30 and two 15/20 amp outlets. Dont worry, your all set
  • Really can't contact them now. Out of the country.
I figured they had at least a 30 and 20 with breakers, but wanted to be sure.
    I think I have what I need.

    THANKS
  • They're just saying 50A because that is the biggest the site provides. It will also have a 30A and 20A receptacles.
With the dog bones you have you'll be safe no matter what.
  • I read that as capable of up to 50, and it implies to me they have lower amperage outlets as well. But having a way to convert 50 down to 15 isn't a bad idea, especially since I hear that many 50A outlets are hardly used, and the 30As tend to be worn. (And probably 15As as well.)

I have a 30A unit, and bought a 30-15 dogbone, a 30-50 dogbone, and am considering a 30-20 dogbone as well, for my genny.
